Raymond’s Obituary Raymond Sager Jr., 90, of Leroy Township, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019. He was born on March 24, 1928, in Battle Creek, the son of Raymond and Lula (Hicks) Sager. Raymond previously lived in Augusta and Sturgis, Michigan.

He was an automotive mechanic and had been employed at and owned repair shops in the Battle Creek area. Ray was a machinist with Grand Trunk Railroad for nearly 30 years retiring in 1994. He married the former Purita Trinio on February 22, 1982.

She survives him. Ray was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and gardening. He also enjoyed working on cars and watch old movies especially Westerns.

He was a member of the National Rifle Association. Raymond is also survived by his children Sherry Connell and Christina McKee both of Battle Creek, Maurice Leonard Sager of East Leroy and Cyrus Cruz of Jacksonville, Florida. He also leaves several grandchildren, great grandchildren and his cousin George McNeil of Battle Creek Visitation will be from 10:00am to 1:00pm Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Royal Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 1:00pm.

Interment will be at Beckley Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Raymond Sager Jr., 90, of Leroy Township, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019.
