He was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide Fan, Nascar Fan, Fisherman, Proud Veteran and Gospel Singer. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Tennyson Howard; Sisters, Thelma Bright Barnby, Dot Mabrey and Brother, Orville Tennyson.

He is survived by his beloved Wife, Dorothy Griffith Tennyson; Son, Ray (Ray) Tennyson, Jr. of Hoover; Daughter, Judy Tennyson Greening of Beerwah, Australia; Step-Daughter, Vicki Pugh Truett (David) of Ft. Myers, Fl. Sister, Betty (Bea) Cox of Bessemer; Brother, Bobby Tennyson of Pottsboro, Texas; Grandchildren, Jonathan, Melissa (Eric), Jeremy Harmon (Emily), Jacob Harmon (Nicole), Justin Harmon (Ben) and Tippy his beloved Cat.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22nd at Bell Forestdale Chapel with Military Graveside Honors at 1:15 p.m. at Alabama National Cemetery (Montevallo). Visitation will be on Monday, January 21st from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Bell Forestdale Chapel.
