OBITUARY Lela Mae Echols November 22, 1935 – January 15, 2019 Lela Mae Echols, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 15, 2019. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter Echols and daughter, Ella B. Echols. She is survived by her children, Adline Pugh (Curtis), Elizabeth Stanford (Kenneth), Constance Echols and Vicky Youngblood (Ronald Jr.); grandchildren, Curtis III and Cadell Pugh, Lakeshia Hendricks, Joselyn Echols, Toni Webster, Ronald III and Malachi Youngblood; 6 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home, 800 Dennison Ave. S.W. Birmingham, AL 35211. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 12:00 noon at Southside CME Church, 713 MLK Jr
