OBITUARY Rebecca Jane Samonds February 20, 1927 – July 7, 2018 Rebecca Jane Samonds, 91, passed peacefully in Everett, Washington on July 7, 2018. She was born on February 20, 1927 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to loving parents Chester and Eva (McAfee) Montgomery. Mrs. Samonds served in the military as a nurse before making it her life-long career.

She lived to help others, not only as a profession, but with family and friends as well. She is preceded by her parents, her late brother Charles William Montgomery, her late son Scott Robert Samonds, and her loving husband John McKee Samonds. She is succeeded by sons Chester and Karl Samonds, and grandchildren Cody, Crystal, Jake, Bradford, Francis, and Trenton Samonds.

Her compassion and her feisty attitude will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers please send donations in her name to the “Wounded Warriors Project”. Friends and family will meet for a graveside service scheduled for 2:00pm, Wednesday, July 18, at Acacia Memorial Park, 14951 Bothell Way NE, 98155 (acaciafuneralhome.com).
