Rebecca Joan “Becky” Gibson June 10, 1948 – May 21, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card Rebecca Joan “Becky” Gibson, 70, of York St., Corry, Pa. went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at UPMC Hamot, Erie, Pa. She was born June 10, 1948 in Union City, Pa.

a daughter of the late George Beardsley and Joan McLean Beardsley TenHaken. Becky was raised and educated in Corry, Pa. Following her graduation from Corry Area High School in 1966, she began working at Corry Jamestown Corporation and Eileen Simmons Realty Company for several years.

She then started working at Associated Spring-Barnes Group (Raymond Manufacturing). Over the years, Becky worked in various positions, she retired from the Production Management Department in 2016. Becky was always an active member of the churches she attended, she currently was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Corry where she taught Sunday School and participated in Bible study.

She also served on the finance committee and was a member of the United Methodist Women. She also belonged to the Red Hatters and Corry Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Becky was an avid golfer and Pittsburgh Steelers Fan and always felt the happiest near the water.

She found her greatest joy in the time she spent with her family and friends. Most importantly, Becky wanted to be remembered for her big heart. In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her daughter, Joan H. “Joanie” Thomas and step-father Harold TenHaken.

Becky is survived by her son-in-law, Kyle Thomas of Corry, Pa. ; three sisters, Diane Winkel and her husband Joe of San Leandro, CA, Sandra “Sandy” Woodard and her husband Jim of Erie, Pa. , and Patricia “Patty” Munn and her husband Jim of Corry, Pa.

Also surviving are three grandchildren, Lauren Thomas, Noah Thomas and Alec Thomas and his wife Jane; two aunts, one uncle and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call at the First United Methodist Church, 650 Worth St., Corry, Pa. on Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service there at 3 p.m. Rev.

Johnathan Fehl will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Corry, Pa. Memorials may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 1645 W. 8th St. Erie, Pa.
