Regina M. Filipowicz, 91, of Drums and formerly of Catawissa, passed away Friday March 1, 2019 at Fritzingertown Senior Living Community. She was born October 31, 1927 in Roaring Creek Township, a daughter of the late Evon and Mary Abraczinskas. She graduated from Catawissa High School and then worked at Emenee Shirt Factory in Catawissa.

Regina was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church, Slabtown. She enjoyed going to flea markets, and playing pinochle with family and friends. Regina is survived by two children; Charles Filipowicz and wife Theresa of Bellefonte, Karen Pensyl of Bloomsburg, five grandchildren; Valerie Mensch, Chuck Filipowicz, Kenton Filipowicz, Clayton Filipowicz, Lauren Filipowicz, and four great-grandchildren; Jeremy Mensch, Shayna Kuhr, Shea Filipowicz, and Laila Filipowicz.

As well as two brothers Robert Abraczinskas of Sussix, NJ, and Dennis Abraczinskas of Raleigh, NC. Regina was preceded in death by her husband Leonard J. Filipowicz Sr., son Leonard J. Filipowicz Jr., and three brothers; Evon, William, and Raymond Abraczinskas. Funeral services will be private at the request of the deceased.
