Obituary for Reginald H. Canter Reginald Hayes Canter, 88, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at his home. Born February 9, 1930, in Wilkes County, NC, he was the son of the late Albert Grady Canter and Lessie Mae Hayes Canter. A graduate of Appalachian State University and U. S. Army veteran of the Korean Era War, Mr. Canter retired from the South Carolina State Vocational Rehabilitation Department.

Survivors include his wife, Zenith Ann Cooley Canter; granddaughters, Megan Wilner David (Fred) of Charleston, SC and Morgan Wilner of Columbia, SC; brother, Edwin Canter of Brushy Mountain, NC; and a large number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Carol Wilner; sisters, Wilma Ruth Bennett and Mildred Canter; and brothers, Pete Canter and Jay Canter. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Sunday, April 15, 2018, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307 with funeral services following at 2:00 PM, conducted by The Rev.

Jones Brewer. Committal will be at the Chapel and private burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Ben Avon United Methodist Church, 2360 Avondale Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
