RICHMOND, Ind. – Reo Sparks, age 78, of Richmond, Indiana, died unexpectedly Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at his home. Born July 24, 1940, in Elgin, Kentucky, to Luther and Virgie Malicoate Sparks, Reo had lived in this community since moving here at age two.

He was a 1959 graduate of Richmond High School. Reo had been a landlord since 1973 and formerly worked at Perfect Circle Division of Dana Corporation, retiring when it closed. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.

Reo enjoyed playing euchre; had a passion for old cars, especially Dodge Chargers; and loved playing pool, Mario Brothers, and Donkey Kong with his godchildren. Survivors include his sister, Donna (Michael) Hillard of Richmond; brother, Herman (Marcia) Sparks of Richmond; godchildren, Nate (Jennifer) Morgan and Courtney (Cody) Jones, both of Richmond; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends, including special friends, Bob and Kathy Morgan. He was preceded in death by his father and his mother and stepfather, Virgie and James Ed Caudill.

Visitation for Reo Sparks will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2019, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2019, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Shawn Crisman officiating. Entombment will be in the Earlham Memorial Mausoleum.
