Obituary for Retta Land Ballard Print Retta Land Ballard, 78, of Cartersville died on Tuesday, February 5, 2019. Born on March 17, 1940 she was the daughter of the late Walt Land and the late Willa Mae Clark Land. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Ballard, and her brother, Richard Land.

Survivors include her children, Judy Forsyth (Travis), Buzz Ballard, and Dennis Ballard (April); her grandchildren, Jason Forsyth, Taylor Ballard, Stephanie Neal, Colbi Ballard, and Tyler Hays; her great-grandchildren, Jordan Ballard, Sophie Ballard, Willow Hays, and Olive Hays; her siblings, Joe Land (Sue), Millie Bell (Kenny), Libby Goss (Dwight) Theresa Duncan, Lynda Ponder (Larry), and Priscilla Roberts (Phillip); and her sister-in-law, Jayne Land. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2019 Oak Hill Cemetery with Reverend Joe Land and Mr. Russell Ballard officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
