Obituary for Rev. Clifton Earl Wallace Clifton Earl Wallace of Hartsville, South Carolina gave up his earthly home for his heavenly home in the early morning hours of May 18, 2018 after a period of declining health. He was born in Duplin County on August 16, 1925 to the late Robert Benjamin and Lula Anderson Wallace of Rose Hill, North Carolina.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of forty-six years, Margaret Barnhill Wallace and his second wife, Carrie Joy Wallace; son—Clifton Earl Wallace, Jr.; stepson—Clifton Graham; brothers—William Wallace and Ray Burt Wallace; sisters—Nada Jarman, Vera Brock, and Katherine Williams. Leaving behind to cherish his memory are daughters—Marsha Ramsey and husband Richard of Summerville, NC and Kathie Steen and husband Billie Jo of Hartsville, SC; brother—John Robert Wallace of Albermarle, NC; stepsons—Ricky Graham and wife Joyce, Perry Graham and wife Teresa all of Newport, NC; three grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. Mr. Wallace retired after serving Southern Baptist churches for many years as a minister and in giving ministerial support to a multitude of people.

He is a member of Reeses Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Newport, NC. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, working in the yard, and singing with his wife Carrie. A service to commemorate the life of Reverend Wallace will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Padgett Funeral & Cremation Services in Wallace, North Carolina (401 West Main Street).

A time of visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm before the service. Interment will be in the Wallace Family Cemetery at the intersection of Hwy 50 and Pasture Branch Road in Rose Hill, NC. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Agape Hospice, 115 North 5th Street, Hartsville, South Carolina.

Brown-Pennington-Atkins assisted the family locally.
