Obituary for Richard A. Francess Richard A. Francess, age 74, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away December 3, 2018. Born, November 10, 1944 to Louis Francess and Angelette Malone in Brooklyn, New York. Richard came to Port St. Lucie 29 years ago.

He had a successful career as a general contractor/entrepreneur that specialized in renovations and office system installations. He also proudly served in the United States Army. Richard enjoyed scenic drives and exploring new places, collecting stamps, gardening, reading, and boating.

He was known for his uncanny ability to remedy any problem and his kindness and generosity. However, above all else, he loved and adored spending time with his friends and family. Those who knew him would say that Richard’s presence could light up a room and he made all those who came in contact with him feel loved and valued.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Angelette, and sister, Marylou Mentone. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Carol A. Francess, together for 53 wonderful years; daughters, Jessica Francess, Stacey Gerardi, and Marybeth Schambach; brother, Thomas Francess; sister, Marilyn Shank; granddaughter, Annelise Gerardi, and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements are entrusted to Yates Funeral Home of Port St. Lucie, Florida.

A visitation will take place on Monday, December 10th from 5 to 8 PM at Yates Funeral Home. A Mass will then follow in his honor on Tuesday, December 11th located at Holy Family Catholic Church at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Dogs and Cats Forever in memoriam of Richard.
