Funeral service for Richard Allen “Thunder” Peppers, 42, will be Monday, May 6, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Calvary Assembly of God with Pastor George Sawyer officiating, Eulogy given by Tyler Stinson, and Speaking: Dr. Bob W. Jones and Peck Funeral Home directing. His body will lie in state for two hours prior to service on Monday a the church. Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home. Mr. Peppers died on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born November 29, 1976, in Morgan County to Billy Peppers and Carla Sue Templeton Peppers.

He was a member of Calvary Assembly of God. He graduated from Hartselle High School, class of 1995 and completed his EMT training at Calhoun Community College. He was employed as an EMT and Field Training Officer for Lifeguard Ambulance Service.

He was an Alabama fan and an Atlanta Braves fan and had coached T-ball at Vinemont. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Carl and Betty Templeton and an uncle Greg Peppers. Survivors include: his Wife, Carla Jones Peppers Two Sons: Xander Peppers and Judson Reed Two Daughters: Kindal Peppers and Fayeth Reed Parents: Billy and Carla T. Peppers Grandmother: Betty Peppers One Sister: Cassie Peppers (Billy Trotter) One Brother-in-law: Bryan Jones Pallbearers will be Anthony Legg, Ben Whitley, Dylan Trotter, J.J. Puckett, Jonathan “Precious” Harkins, Nate Perry, Red Wilson and Ryan Burns.
