Richard’s Obituary Richard B. “Dick” Derstine of Pequea, Pa. formerly of Telford went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 3, 2019 at his residence. Richard was the loving husband of the late Grace (Clemens) Derstine for 69 years.

Born in Souderton, Pa. to the late Wilmer N. and Ida (Bergey) Derstine, He operated a meat stand at the 69th Street Market, Upper Darby and had a farm in Telford. Richard was in sales for 40 years the last of those years at Sauder Eggs, Lancaster, until his retirement in 1998.

Dick was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved going to the Chesapeake Bay where he enjoyed fishing, boating and camping. Dick also enjoyed hunting from his cabin in Bradford County.

His family was very important to him. He was a former member of Limerick Chapel, and a current member of Calvary Church of Lancaster, Pa and was involved with the visitation ministry. Dick is survived by four sons, Robert C. Derstine and his wife Kathy of Telford, Pa.

; Steven R. Derstine and his wife Susan of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. ; Philip C Derstine and Randall S. Derstine both of Telford, Pa. and a daughter Karen S. Lewis and her husband David of Pequea, PA.

; 23 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter and a sister Pat Nace and her husband Ray of Harleysville, Pa. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard A. Derstine his wife Sara Jane and their son Thomas W. Derstine and a great- granddaughter Ashley N. Derstine. A daughter in law Joan Derstine and sister Doris Histand.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, May 9th, 2019 at 5:30 pm at Grace Bible Church, 423 Main St, Souderton, PA 18964. Friends may meet with the family 4:00 – 5:30 pm. Private burial will take place at Limerick Garden of Memories.
