Obituary for Richard Crocker Dick Crocker, 89, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Wenatchee on January 19, 1929 to lola and Pete Crocker. Dick attended school in Wenatchee and attended Wenatchee Valley College.

On October 1950 he and Rielle Billingsley were married. After school Dick went to work for Seafirst Bank, then enlisted in the Army and went to Officers Candidate School at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. From there he served in the Korean War and served as a 1st Lieutenant as an Artillery Forward Observer and left Korea as a Captain.

While in the service Rielle and Dick were blessed with his first daughter, Cami, soon followed by daughters, Cheryl and Darci, and finally a son, Rocky. After the service, Dick returned to College in Wenatchee and continued working for Seafirst Bank. He then went to work for Douglas County Bank and became a Bank Manager.

During this time he started Queens Motor Car Company in East Wenatchee providing the Valley with MG, Austin Healey, and Morris Minor cars. Dick planted an orchard on Western Avenue (now Rotary Park) and built the family home. Dick chartered then Central Washington Bank and became Bank Manager until he retired from banking.

He continued farming the orchard, and in 1979 partnered with his son Rocky to create Rocky’s House of Guns. He especially enjoyed the relationships that were formed between him and the gun shop regulars. Everyone will remember his infectious laugh and wit.

He was a life time member of the American Legion with a great circle of friends. Dick served with the Chelan County Sheriff’s Posse and Head of Search and Rescue. He enjoyed the comradery.

Dick became a Licensed Realtor and joined Century 21. He enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting with his grandsons and boating on Lake Havasu. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Edna Lucas.

He is survived by his wife Rielle; children, Cami (Jeff) Life, Cheryl McGuire, Darci Wilson, and Rocky Crocker; grandsons, Joey McGuire, James McGuire, Erik Life and Casey Brown; and numerous great-grandchildren. The family will truly miss pa’s love and strength. A graveside service will Military Honors will be held on Friday, September 7th at 1:00 at Wenatchee City Cemetery.

A reception will follow at American Legion Post 10, 208 N Wenatchee Ave. “Pops, you finally made it home”. Previous Events Graveside Service , SEP 7.
