Richard A. Hudson, 83, of Hermann, Missouri, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Hermann Area District Hospital, Missouri. Richard was born in Webster Groves, Missouri, on October 2, 1935 , the son of the late Arthur & Alberta (Duchek) Hudson. On March 29, 1955 he was united in marriage to Patricia L. Northrop in Sappington, Missouri and to this union two children were born Gregory and Barbara.

He is survived by his wife Patricia of the home, by his children, Gregory Hudson and wife Jeanette of Enterprise, Alabama; and Barbara Kent and husband Bradley or Marietta, Georgia, by a brother Robert Hudson & wife Donna, of Gerald, by three sisters, Mary Lou Overkamp & husband Leonard of Fulton, Joy Hudson of Fulton, and Cheryl Romaker & husband Barry of Fulton, by 2 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and one one brother Ace Hudson. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force where he retired from as a Major.

He also worked as the Gasconade County Emergency Management Director for many years. Richard was very involved in the community he was a member of the St. George Catholic Church, he was a member of the Hermann V.F. W. Post 4182 of which he served as the Commander and the Quartermaster many times. He was the past president of the Hermann Area Chamber of Commerce, and Historic Hermann, he also was a ham radio operator.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 14th, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann. V.F.W. Services will be held Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at St. George Church, in Hermann. Burial will be at St. George Cemetery with military honors.
