Obituary Richard “Doc” Carnes, age 79, of the Mill Creek Community, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 at Hamilton Medical Center. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Grady and Effie Carnes He is survived by loving wife, Carolyn Carnes of the residence; daughters & sons-in-law, Rhonda and Randy Guinn, Donna Carnes, Crystal and Billy Nicholson, Cagney and Phillip Arnold: sons & daughters-in-law, Michael and Pam Carnes, Randy Carnes, all of the Mill Creek Community; sisters & brothers in-in-law, Opal and Loyd Newton of Mill Creek, Vivian Ralston of Rocky Face; brothers & sisters-in-law, Charles and Tina Carnes of Mill Creek, Kenneth and Connie Carnes of the Westside Community, Wayne Carnes of Mill Creek; grandchildren; Stephanie, Brandon, Meghan, Nick, Lucas, and Bubba:great-grandchildren, Katelynn, Karlie, Charleigh, several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be Friday May 10, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral with Rev.

Charles Carnes, Rev. John David Dorsey and Rev. Ronald Guffey officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 p.m. Burial will be at Dogwood Valley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Nathan Hasty, Bud Carnes, Brandon Guinn, Jacob Turner, Charlie Helton. Funeral arrangements are by Julian Peeples Funeral Home, Rocky Face Chapel.
