Richard Douglas Guy Richard Douglas Guy, 77 years old, of Country Club, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at KU Medical Center. Richard was born April 11, 1941 in Kirksville, Missouri, to Everett and Reva (Cady) Guy. On December 3, 1961 in Green City, Missouri, he married Zelda (Reynolds) Guy, she survives of the home.

Also surviving: A son, Mark D. Guy of St. Joseph, Missouri; grandchildren, Alec Guy and Kathleen Hawkins; 3 great grandchildren; and a sister, Janice Booth. He was preceded in death by: His parents; a sister, Lucille White; and a brother, Gary Guy. Richard grew up in Green City, graduating from Green City High School in 1959, living in the St. Joseph area since 1959.

He was a loyal, dedicated employee of MFA, Inc. for 47 ½ years, retiring in 2006. Richard was an avid sports fan, especially the KC Chiefs, St. Louis Cardinals, KC Royals, and Nascar. He loved to take care of his yard and took great pride in taking care of his home.

Richard was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was a stable, fun loving family man. Funeral services for Richard will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, March 8, 2019 at Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Green City.

Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, East of Green City. A visitation is scheduled for one hour prior to the service, starting at 12:00 Noon.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the University of Pittsburgh Transplant Center.
