WRIGHT, Richard E. “Farmer Rick”, age 57, of Middletown, Ohio passed away Monday, January 29, 2019 at his residence. He was born November 30, 1961 in Xenia, Ohio and moved to the Middletown area in the late 1980’s. Rick served as Chief of Police for Spring Valley, Ohio during the 1980’s.

He was employed at the Operators and Engineers Union for 15 years. Preceding him in death was his father, Robert Wright. He is survived by his wife of eight years, Toni Lyons; four children, Chris, Matt, Jessica, and Amanda; his mother, Jane Wright; two brothers, Rodney and , and many extended family and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 p.m. with Dr. Dan Flory officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements by Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown.
