Richard’s Obituary Richard Eugene Jenkins was born January 12, 1931 and departed this life January 23, 2019 reaching the age of 88 years. He was the son of the late Parker and Ruby (Davis) Jenkins. He is survived by: one son, Scott Jenkins (Becky); two daughters, Deborah Smith and Becky Jenkins; 16 grandchildren Jeff, Gary, Shannon, Jonathan, Tina, Joseph, Richard Ray, Michael, Sam, Parker, Amber, Heather, Kim, Michael, Eddie, and Randy; 38 great grandchildren; and 21 great-great grandchildren.

He is also survived by: three brothers, Glenn, Donald, and Bobby Jenkins; and one sister, Joy Shepherd (George); along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing. In addition to his parents, Parker and Ruby Jenkins, he was preceded in death by: one son, Garnie Jenkins; one daughter, Kathleen Bell; one grandchild, Timothy; two brothers, Jack Lewis and Paul Jenkins; and two sisters, Emogene Denney and Maxine Davis. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 26, 2019 between 11 am – 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
