Obituary for Richard F. Brown Richard ferris Brown, age 90, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Mount carmel East Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on October 9, 1928 in Muskegon, Michigan to James R Brown and Lillian (Bunker) Brown. Richard and his beautiful bride, Jean Brown, were married for 61 years after a chance encounter at the beach led the two to get married on December 7, 1957.

He served in WWII and The Korean War as a member of the Air Force and was bestowed two meritorious service medals along with many others for his bravery and courage on the field of battle. After 25 years of service Richard retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for the United States Postal Service for 20 years and retired in 1995.

He was a devoted member of Parsons Baptist Church since 1969 where he served his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in many different capacities. Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Jean E. Brown; daughters, Terri J. Powers and Pamela L. (Jerry D.) Horn; grandchildren, Ryan D. Horn with Laura Leonardo Horn and Frankie J. Horn, Jerrad A. Horn with Kara M. Horn and Willow L. Horn, Dustin M. Horn with Rosie Alyea. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who loved going to the beach with his family, hunting, golfing, and gardening.

He is in Heaven with Jesus, his Savior and Lord. Friends may call at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL 1346 S. High St. on Friday from 6 to 8 PM.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 AM at the Parsons Baptist Church 3930 Parsons Ave. Pastor Charles Blake officiating. Interment with military honors to follow at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.
