Obituary for John Carl Schreiber John Carl Schreiber, age 71, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at home. John was born on December 16, 1946 in Gloversville, NY to Carl A. and Ellen M. (Gardiner) Schreiber. John graduated from Canajoharie High School and The Ohio State University.

He worked for Giant Eagle for many years. John was a member of Glen Echo Presbyterian Church where he was involved in many mission trips to Haiti. He was a member of Central Ohio Beekeepers Association where he partnered with a friend to make honey.

He was an active member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary during the 1990-2000’s. John was also a Cub Master and Boy Scout Leader from 1989-98’s. In his spare time John could be found hunting, fishing and enjoying his dogs.

Preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ellen Schreiber. Survived by loving wife of 40 years, Susan; children, Karen (Stephen) Crabtree, Carl Schreiber and Daniel (Britany) Schreiber; grandsons, Connor Judea Crabtree and Tyler Schreiber; sister, Connie (Philip) Conner; many other relatives and friends. Family will hold a celebration of his life (day and time to be announced) at Glen Echo Presbyterian Church, 220 Cliffside Drive, Columbus, OH 43202 with Pastor Leland Platt officiating.
