Obituary for Mansoureh Vafaei Mansoureh Vafaei (Dioun), age 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 25, 2018. Mansoureh was born on October 19, 1933, in Zanjan, Iran. Upon passing of her husband of almost 40 years, Hasan, she chose Columbus as her new home.

Mansoureh believed in the power of charity and prayer. She lived her life to the fullest by surrounding herself with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was happiest when helping others, preparing delicious Persian food, and dancing with a free spirit among friends and family.

She understood what love and life meant and has passed it on to the generations who follow. She is survived by her three children: Ali (Jocelyn), Fatimeh (Habib) and Mo (Mina). She is also survived by six grandchildren: Ali (Arshin) Pourian, Sheila (Adam) Trautner, Neema (Lauren) Pourian, Sarah Lou Dioun, Cyrus Dioun, and Pareesa Pourian; and five great-grandchildren: Remy, Bonneu, Elliott, Ava, and Pierce.

To celebrate her life, a gathering will be held for friends and family on Sunday, December 2 from 11:00 – 2:00 PM at New Albany Country Club, 1 Club Lane, New Albany, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at bit. ly/Mansoureh.
