Obituary for Richard L. Bradley Richard L. Bradley Age 76, of Rock Stream, NY, and Auburndale, FL, passed away unexpectedly on September 4, 2018 at his home in Rock Stream, NY. Family and friends will gather at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, NY on Saturday (Sept. 8th) from 2pm-4pm; followed by a funeral service at 4:00pm in celebration of his life.
Reverend Mike Kelly will be officiating. Richard was born on October 12, 1941 in Elmira, NY; the son of the late Theodore and Pauline Bradley. He graduated from Dundee Central School in 1960.
He proudly served his country enlisting in the US Air Force immediately after graduation. He later joined and retired from the 174th US Air National Guard serving in Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Richard retired from the US Postal Service as a rural mail carrier for the Watkins Glen Post Office.
He was a past Exalted Ruler and Life Member of Elks Lodge (BPOE #1546) of Watkins Glen and member of the Winter Haven, Florida Horseshoe Club. Dick was a loving husband, father and grandfather who liked nothing better than spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He had a lifetime love of animals, loved spending time outdoors and especially loved keeping his property in pristine condition.
He also enjoyed golfing and horseshoes. Richard was predeceased by his parents; also, brothers-in-law, Fred Siebert, William Ames, and Robert Ames; and sister-in-law, Sandra Ames. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Ann; daughter, Kimberly (Douglas) White of Great Falls, VA; son, Scott (Tammy) Bradley of Montour Falls; sister, Barbara Siebert of Mississippi (formerly Corning); brothers-in-law, Edward Ames of Charlotte, NC (formerly Watkins Glen), Daniel (Marie) Ames of Verona, NY; and sister-in-law, Ann L. Ames of Greensboro, NC (formerly Watkins Glen), and five grandchildren, Gabrielle, Pierson and Aidan White, and Samantha and Steven Bradley, many nieces and nephews, and his best buddie Jeter.
