Richard Leo “Dick” Cardinal, 68, Decker, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2018 at the Oak Village Nursing Home. Dick was born July 9, 1950, in Vincennes, the son of Leo and Theresa (Vieke) Cardinal. He was a hog buyer for Producer’s Livestock and worked at Monroe City Feed Mill in sales.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Dick is survived by his significant other, Karen Hume of Decker; son, Joseph B. Hume of Vincennes; grandchildren, Makayla and Cohen Hume; and nephew, Aaron Cardinal; brother, Dale Cardinal of Vincennes; cousins, Pete Johnson of Vincennes, Russell Johnson of Indianapolis, Walter A. Vieke of Vincennes and Joe Vieke of Carmel, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert, Raymond, Morris, Joe and Dexter Cardinal.

Graveside services will be held Friday, December 28, 2018 at 2:00 PM at St. Vincent Cemetery with Rev. Donald Ackerman officiating. Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home, 313 Church St. assisted the family with arrangements.
