Richard Pardo (66) of Yakima passed away on February 22, 2019 at the Cottage in the Meadow. Richard was born in Sunnyside on November 19, 1952 to Cruz and Stella (Esparza) Pardo. He was raised and educated in Toppenish and worked in the construction industry, auto sales and most recently at Sun Towers in the maintenance department.

He enjoyed his Harley Davidson, BBQ’s with family, cooking and volunteering. Richard had a servants heart and loved helping those in need. He served the homeless in his community.

He is survived by his father, Cruz of Yakima; son, Andre of Lynnwood; brother, Bob (Minerva) Pardo of Yakima; two sisters, Cynthia (Jaime) Tranmer of Renton and Nora Pardo of West Seattle; several aunts uncles and cousins and a nephew, Fred. Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Stella in 2010. Visitation will be held on Thursday February 28, 2019 at Heggie’s Colonial Funeral Home from 3-6PM with recitation of the rosary at 5PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11AM Friday March 1, 2019 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Zillah. Interment will follow at the Zillah City Cemetery. The family would like to thank Davita, Dial-a-Ride, his caregiver, Janet, Virginia Mason Memorial 3rd floor staff and the Cottage in the Meadow for their care of Richard.
