Petra Morales (78) of Zillah passed away in Yakima on May 18, 2019. Petra was born in LaPrayer, TX on June 26, 1940 to Jose O. and Susanna (Cervera) Hernandez. She moved to the Yakima Valley as a young lady and worked as a farm laborer, daycare worker and a custodian for Heritage College while raising her family.

She enjoyed her church, her family and knitting. Petra is survived by her son, Jaime Guzman Sr.; seven daughters, Elvira Lipp, Deanna Jaime, Leonor Guzman, Mary Lou Jaime, Gracie Guzman, Jessica Guzman and Erica Contreras; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; numerous brothers and sisters in Idaho and Texas. Visitation will be on Thursday May 23, 2019 from 12-4PM at Heggie’s Colonial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 11AM Friday with burial to follow at the Zillah City Cemetery. Heggie’s Colonial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Petra Morales please visit our Sympathy Store.
