Susan J. Andy (54) of Toppenish passed away at the home of her daughter on Thursday May 16, 2019. Susan was born in Toppenish on February 7, 1965 to Jimmy and May (Thompson) Spino. She was raised in White Swan and graduated with the first class at the Yakama Nation Tribal School.

She was a member of the Yakama Nation, Independent Shaker Church, Washut and the Toppenish Eagles. As a young woman Susan was a commercial fisherman, she also had worked for Forestry and for King Mountain. She loved yard sales, taking her dogs for walks and spending time with her family and friends.

She was a sports fan, who enjoyed traveling to Seattle for games, teaching her grandchildren traditional ways, crocheting and weaving baskets. She is survived by her companion, David Lee Jack; her children, Jennifer (Horhay) Arthur, Jonathan (Rose) Spino, and Kachina (Steven) Eli and numerous stepchildren; eleven grandchildren with one on the way; five brothers, Virgil Lewis Sr, Gerald Lewis, Edwin Lewis, Evans Lewis Jr. and Galen Yallup; and a sister; Cindy Yallup. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Dressing services will be held at Colonial Funeral Home on Friday May 17, 2019 at 3PM with overnight services at the White Swan Independent Shaker Church with burial to follow at sunrise Saturday at the Satus Point Cemetery.
