Obituary for Richard Russell Mr. Richard Russell, age 86, of Spring Lake and formerly of Dearborn passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018 at American House. He was born September 6, 1931 in Hinsdale, IL to Albert and Dorothy (Brock) Russell. In 1984 he married Joyce Visel and she preceded him in death on April 3, 2013.

Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from the automotive industry where he worked as a mechanical engineer for many years. In his younger years he and his family enjoyed sailing vacations together. Richard is survived by three children: Deborah (Victor) Khalil, of Huntington Beach, CA, Steven Russell of Walker, and Lynn (Lance) Walters of Spring Lake; four grandchildren: Jeffrey (Michelle) Khalil, Marcel, Leslie, and Owen Walters; one great-grandson, Lincoln Walters.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no services at this time. Memorial contributions in memory of Richard may be given to Wayne State University School of Medicine, Department of Anatomy/Body Bequest Program. Please sign the family’s online guestbook at www.
