Richard Zorzi, 81, of Smithton passed January 20, 2019 in Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. He was born January 28, 1937 in Penn, a son of the late Gilbert and Florence Vesco Zorzi. He served four years in the Army National Guard.

Prior to retirement he was a Nuclear Service Tech at Westinghouse Nuclear Service Division for 26 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and taking care of his farm. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers; Robert Zorzi and James Zorzi and sisters; Jane Zorzi (Bowers) and Katey Zorzi Komarinski.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan Hobaugh Zorzi, three sons, Richard A. Zorzi and wife Deann, Jeffery A. Zorzi and wife Donna, and William S. Zorzi, three grandchildren, Abigail Zorzi, Nicholas Zorzi and Amanda Chittister, a brother, John Zorzi and wife Carol and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm in the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME, INC. , 201 N. First St., Jeannette.

A funeral service will be held Friday at 10:00 am in the funeral home with Rev. Annette Gruber officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
