Obituary for Rick Ortiz Jr. Richard “Rick” Ortiz, Jr. went to be with the Lord on August 30, 2018, at the age of 44. He was born on March 23, 1974 in San Antonio, TX. He is preceded in death by his mother, Evangelina Uriegas; aunt, Idalia Zapata and maternal grandparents, Max and Eva Munoz.

Rick is survived by his father, Tom Uriegas; his loving children, Brandon Christian Ortiz, Cody James Ortiz, Nicholas Matthew Ortiz and Madasyn Alicia Ortiz; grandchildren, Jayden Ray Ortiz and Emmitt Daniel Ortiz; siblings, Tommy Uriegas (Suzanne), Michael Uriegas (Paige) and Roxanne Rodriguez (Rodney), and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Rick proudly served in the United States Army for 6 years. He worked as an excellent service provider at FedEx for 13 years and UPS for 4 years.

Rick was an avid Dallas Cowboys and UT Longhorns fan. A beloved father, son and brother, will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 6 to 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South.
