Rita’s Obituary Rita Kay McKinsey, 69, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on July 17, 1949 in Madisonville, KY to the late Marvin “Jack” Cunningham and Nellie Clayton Cunningham. She was formerly employed at Shemwell Nursing Home and was a member of Second Baptist Church in Madisonville where she taught Sunday school.

Rita enjoyed dancing and playing bingo. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, James McCarty; her second husband, Bobby G. McKinsey; and her brother, Dr. Terry Cunningham. Survivors include her daughter, Angela McCarty Davis of Madisonville; sons, Jeremy McKinsey and Keith McCarty both of Madisonville and Jason M. (Dava) McKinsey of Evansville, IN; sister, Mary (Mike) Barnett of Dawson Springs, KY; brother, Tony (Mona) Cunningham of Madisonville; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2019 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Jonathan Lail officiating. Burial to follow at Olive Branch Cemetery in Hanson, KY.

The visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Friday at the funeral home. The pallbearers are Jeremy McKinsey, Keith McCarty, Jason McKinsey, Angela Davis, Mike Barnett, and Mike Barnett, Jr. Condolences may be made to the family at www. harrisfuneralinc.com.
