Obituary for Robert A Barry, Sr. Robert A Barry, Sr., 80 of Old Bridge, New Jersey passed away on Monday, December 24, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born Saturday, January 15, 1938 in New York, New York, he was the son of the late Thomas and Edna Barry. At a young age Robert’s family would move to Demorest, NJ.

Robert worked with Pitney Bowes in New York City. That is where he would meet the love of his life, Michele Solimando. The couple would marry in New York City, they lived in Brooklyn, NY before settling in and raising their family in Old Bridge.

Recently Robert worked as a school bus driver for First Student in Morganville. Robert was a devout catholic and parishioner of St. Ambrose Parish. He loved animals especially his loving dog, Jack.

He enjoyed watching his favorite television shows, including Live PD. More than anything Robert was a family man. He loved spending time with his children and more recently spending time and being with his grandchildren.

He was a blessing to the lives of those he knew and will be forever missed by all. Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Michele, by his loving sons, Christopher Barry, Thomas Barry, Robert A Barry Jr. and his wife Erica, and loving daughter, Jaclyn Fricano, and by his cherished grandchildren, Tyler, Marisa, Joey, Michael, and Peter. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday at St Ambrose Church located at 83 Throckmorton Ln Old Bridge, New Jersey 08857.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, December 27, 2018, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
