OBITUARY Robert Blakney July 22, 1928 – December 5, 2018 Robert L Blakney, age 90, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. He was born on July 22, 1928 in Marshall County, Kentucky. Robert served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a paratrooper.

Afterwards, he worked in the finance business, until owning and operating H&R Furniture for 32 years. Along with his parents, John Clifton and Elta Armstrong Blakney, he is preceded in death by his son, Robert L. Blakney, Jr. and a sister, Corine Walker. Robert leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 58 years, Katherine Landram Blakney; daughter, Melisa (Timothy) Morrow; granddaughters, Katelyn (Aaron) Johnson and Brooke Morrow; a newborn great-granddaughter, Naomi; a sister, Dolores Thompson, along with many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 10, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Resthaven Funeral Home (4400 Bardstown Road, 40218).
