Leesville-Robert “Bob” S. Householder, Jr. husband of Harriet Fripp Householder passed away after a short illness on December 20, 2018. Born in Newberry County, he was the son of Robert, Sr. and Florence Kinard Householder on April 17, 1945. He graduated from Clemson University, was commissioned as an Army Officer, served in the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal.

Mr. Householder retired from SCE&G after 41 years of service. He was a member of Wittenberg Lutheran Church, Ponderosa Country Club, American Legion, Master Mason and was past President of the Lexington Chamber of Commerce, Lexington Rotary Club, and Lexington County Clemson Club. Surviving are his wife of 50 years; daughter, Melissa Senf (Steve) of Gilbert; son, Robert, III of Ridge Spring; grandchildren, Alena, Max, Carter, and Ayla Senf; sister, Patty Van Wie (Bill) of Murrells inlet; niece, Maegan Riggen; and nephews, Warren and Ian Riggen.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, December 22, at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel. Funeral service will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 23, at Wittenberg Lutheran Church with the Rev. Emily Edenfield officiating.

Burial will follow in the Ridge Spring Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Legion Post 133, P.O. Box 367, Ridge Spring SC 29129.
