Obituary for Robert “Bruz” Brookshire Robert “Bruz” Brookshire, 49, of Dacula passed away Wednesday November 14, 2018 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton following a period of declining health. Mr. Brookshire was born August 13, 1969. For a number of years he coached youth football in Dacula.

A loving and devoted father, he was also an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He was preceded in death by his brother, Troy Shane Brookshire, aunt, Sheila Lockridge and uncle, Danny Sheffield. Surviving are his wife, Michelle Brookshire of Canon, GA; children, Robert Cade Brookshire, Michael Bo Brookshire, Carli Wheeler; mother, Linda Brookshire of Winder; father, Ray Brookshire of Ranger, GA; brothers and sister in law, Steve Brookshire of Ranger, GA, Wesley and Tracey Brookshire of Colorado; grandmother, Floy Sheffield of Winder; nieces, Abbey, Maddy, Vanessa; lifelong friend and hunting buddy, Dorsey Forsyth of Cumming; a number of special cousins and other relatives.

Mr. Brookshire will be laid to rest in his family’s plot at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Dawsonville. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to help offset final expenses.
