Robert Charles “Bob” Barton, Sr., 52, of Scottsville, KY passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at the Medical Center at Scottsville. The Louisville, KY native was a former drywall finisher and a son of Bobby Joe Barton and Katherine Louise Hite Barton, who survive. He is survived by his wife: Shawn Gumm Barton, Scottsville, KY; 1 son: Robert Charles Barton, Jr. and wife, Courtney, Louisville, KY; 1 daughter: Brittany Leigh Morgan, Columbus, OH; 1 step daughter: Tasha Lipinski and husband, Tech Sgt.

Matt, Aurora, CO; His parents: Bobby Joe and Kitty Barton, Bowling Green, KY; Paternal grandmother: Ava Rose Lucian, Louisville, KY; Paternal step grandmother: Mildred Barton, Louisville, KY; 1 brother: William Barton and wife, Joanna, Bowling Green, KY; 1 sister: Jennifer Lynn Barton Cross and husband, Ian, League City, TX; His in-laws: Benny and Linda Gumm, Scottsville, KY; 1 grandson: River Blaine Barton; 1 step grandson: Matthew Ryan Lipinski; Several nieces, nephews and special friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: Arlis Edgar Barton and maternal grandparents: Albert Homer Hite and Ginny Zorado Hite. Funeral service will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home Chapel with Bro.

Charles Newton officiating and cremation to follow. Visitation will be 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home.
