Obituary for Robert D Masenthin Robert D. Masenthin, age 77 of Paola, KS passed away Friday Dec. 28,2018. Robert “Bob” was born September30,1941 in Overbrook, KS, the son of Herbert and Naomi (Todd) Masenthin.

He grew up on a farm south of Overbrook. He graduated from Appanoose High School then attended Pittsburg State for automotive mechanic training. He worked as a mechanic, parts manager, and driver for the Ford and Dodge dealership in Paola for over 40 years.

Bob was first married to Carolyn Kaub, then later divorced. They had 2 sons, Andy and Alan and a daughter, Connie. Bob was united in marriage to Adelaide “Addie” Brandt on Aug.

17,2001 in Paola. Bob was a member of the First Lutheran church in Paola, as well as a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Paola, where he had served as state president. Bob loved being around family and friends and he will always be remembered by his big friendly smile and willingness to help others.

Activities bob enjoyed were watching KU basketball, woodworking, repairing/building things, playing golf, bowling, fishing, and bird hunting. Survivors include a brother: Herb and wife Gloria Masenthin of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, 2 sons: Andrew and wife Brenda Masenthin of Dwight, Kansas, Alan Masenthin of Albuquerque, NM, 1 daughter: Connie Masenthin of Astoria, Oregon, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Addie who just passed away Nov. 8,2018. The family suggests memorial contributions to Max Baer Heart Fund at Paola Eagles c/o Andy Masenthin, po box 92 Dwight, KS 66849.
