Madeline Ryan, age 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 29, 2018, in her home in Lee’s Summit, MO. Madeline was born November 4, 1937 to Peter and Ruth Greco. She married Thomas G. Ryan in 1958 and raised three loving children.

She worked for many years as the Administrator of Holmesdale Convalescent Center, Plaza Manor Nursing Home, and Kohl’s Department Store. She enjoyed doing her crossword puzzles, reading books, and attending mass services at Our Lady of Presentation Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandma, great grandma and friend, and was always thinking of and praying for others.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas G. Ryan; her parents, Peter and Ruth Greco; and her brothers: Joseph Greco, John Greco, Peter Greco, and Richard Greco. She is survived by her brothers: Thomas Greco (Joan), Michael Greco (Ruth), and Robert Greco (Chris); her sisters: Patricia Neel (David) and Theresa Tiepelman; sister-in-laws: Mary Jayne Greco, Carol Greco, Carol Conley (Lloyd); and by her children: Thomas A. Ryan (Adaire), Donna M. Williams (Brett), and James G. Ryan (Carolyn). She has 7 grandchildren: Craig Williams (Nicole), Brian Williams (Karlie), Jill Petitjean (Mac), Matthew Ryan, Jona Ryan, Mychala Ryan, and Taryn Ryan, along with, five great-grandchildren: Lucee, Sawyer, Josie, Bowen, and Sylvie, and many other nieces and nephews, along with her longtime friend and companion, Frank Thomas.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 2nd from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Our Lady of Presentation Church, 130 NW Murray Rd, Lee’s Summit, MO 64081. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, January 3rd at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Presentation Church. Interment will be at Longview Cemetery, 12700 SE Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO 64149 immediately following mass.
