LV (Bud) Rosebud Sr, 81, transitioned on February 18, 2019 at his home in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on August 17, 1937 in Marion, Arkansas to the union of Aaron and Leanner Rosebud. His parents, three brothers, Frank Earl, Aaron Rosebud Jr., Selester Rosebud and his daughter, Demetria Rosebud all preceded him in death.

After being in Kansas City a few years he met Mary Ellis and in 1957 they became husband and wife for life. From that union two children were born. As a child, LV confessed a hope in Christ and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

LV worked several years at the Muehlebach Hotel and then at Parkview Drug Store(s). For many years, Bud had a dream of owning his own restaurant. That dream was realized when he became owner and operator of Bud’s BBQ at 5305 Prospect Avenue.

He had a reputation of serving some of the best food in town. LV Rosebud was a loving son, husband, father, brother, grandfather and a real friend to all that he knew. He will be missed dearly.

We thank the Lord for allowing him to come our way. There is comfort in the thought that our loving God knows best. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Mary Rosebud of Kansas City, Missouri; son LV Rosebud Jr. (Debbie) of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Mary Rayford of Grandview, Missouri, Rosalee Patterson of Bronson, Florida; sister-in-law Verdie Jackson of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren, Danielle, LV III, Lakeisha, Marcus; five great grandchildren; his “play” son Jimmy Garcia of Kansas City, Missouri and a host of nephews, nieces other relatives and friends.
