Robert D. Wright, 79, of State Park Road, Penfield, PA, died, Friday, July 20, 2018 at home, after a short illness. He was born in Portsmouth, VA on September 18, 1938, a son of the late Henry and Millicent (Ball) Wright. On August 21, 2014, he married Janice (Winslow), who survives in Penfield.

Besides his parents, Bob was predeceased by: his wife, Barbara Gayle (Hoffman) Wright on April 4, 1994 and a step-son, Randy Wilfong on June 12, 2004. Along with his wife, he is survived by: Three children, Melodie Wright, Bruce Wright and Randal Wright; four step-children, Dwayne Wilfong, Robyn Corbey, Elizabeth Rhoads and Thomas Wilson; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Bruce and Ron Wright. Bob was an Owner/Operator truck driver for most of his life, retiring as a Wal-Mart driver after several years.

He enjoyed his membership in many local Clubs including, the Penfield Firemen’s, DuBois and Brockway VFW, BV Rod&Gun Club, Mosquito Creek Sportsmen’s and the Sinnemahoning Sportsmen’s. Living in Penfield since 1980, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing Billiards and cooking. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 3 – 5 p.m. at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home, Penfield, PA.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the Penfield Firemen’s Club. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial be made to the St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital and will be accepting online condolences at www. nedzafamilyfuneralhomes.com.
