Robert D. Tipton Gaffney, SC: Robert D. Tipton, 80, went home to be with Jesus on Thanksgiving Day, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice House. Born in Spartanburg County he was the son of the late W.M. Tipton and the late Annie Mae Waters. He loved going to the mountains, and out to eat with his family.

He was a member of Jesus Reigns Ministries which he loved. He is survived by nieces and nephews; Sara Ann Ellis (Terry), Travis Ellis, Janice Peres (Joe), Lisa, Chuck, Brandon, and Harley Laughter, Ricky Lee Greene, Tammy Yother, Summer and Cameron Gilfillan, Dylan and Tori Yother, Jordan Hammonds and Morgan Cope; three great-great nephews, Charlie and Chase Laughter, and Zander Gilfillan; two great-great nieces, Alaina and Avery Yother. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Bertha Mae Morgan and Della Faye Tipton; a brother in law Walter Morgan.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Bobo Funeral Chapel, 1860 Cannons Campground Rd. , Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, November 25 at 2:00at Jesus Reigns Ministries in Cowpens with Rev.

Craig Price and Emmanuel Varner officiating. Burial will follow in Cowpens City Cemetery. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service from 1:30 to 2:00 at the church.
