Robert Earl Armstead, age 92, of Louisville, KY, formerly of Michigan passed away Dec. 6, 2018. Robert was born April 2, 1926 in Falmouth, Michigan the son of Wellington and Margaret (Zuck) Armstead.

Robert lived most of his life in Michigan except when he was in the military. Robert was a World War II veteran and earned the rank of Sergeant and the military honored him with the American Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal World War II and EAME Theater Ribbon. Robert is survived by his son, Dr. Robert Armstead and his sister, Elsie Nelson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Russell. Funeral services will be 12:30 P. M. Friday, December 14, 2018 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh with military honors performed by the United States Army Honor Guard Team. Burial will follow at Cadillac Memorial Gardens Cemetery West, Westland, MI.

Visitation will be also on Friday from 10:00 A. M. until the time of service. Condolences to the family may be made at www. pursefuneralhome.com.
