Robert F. Whiteley, 74, passed away November 26, 2018 in Belfast. Robert was born in Camden Maine on September 14, 1944 to the late Robert and Martha Whiteley. Robert was The City of Belfast Assessor for over twenty years.

He taught classes on assessing and appraisal for many years and was well known for his expertise in his field. Over the course of his career, he served many Maine communities to include Rockland, Camden, Kennebunk, Kennebunkport and the Islands of Mid-coast Maine. … Read More » Bob’s personal interest included history, antique houses and design, the English language and composition, antique firearms, all things nautical, local art and baseball.

He played minor league baseball in his youth and proudly served an enlistment in the United States Air Force. Bob was also predeceased by his siblings. He is survived by his loving wife Nancy Leeman Whiteley; his children, Robert Whiteley and Christina Whiteley; his step-children, James Nealey, Dale Nealey and Ted Fraser; several grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A springtime service will be planned.
