Robert Glen Cox, 84, of Cleveland, TN passed away on April 9, 2018. He was born on November 27, 1933 to the late Glen and Edna Cox. Robert was a carpenter for all of his life and was a member of East Cleveland Baptist Church.

He was a member of the Golden Warriors, a group through East Cleveland Baptist Church. Those who knew Robert will remember him as a loving father, brother, grandfather, husband, and friend. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

In addition to his mother… Read More » and father, he is preceded in death by his wife Betty Jean Deal Cox; stepfather Algie Hoffman; siblings: Grace Marie Cox-Pierce, Charlotte Rose Cox-Jensen, (“Harry” Jensen), Mildred Ann Cox-Kermer. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children: John Martin Cox, Donna Lou Baine, Timothy Wayne Cox, and Glen Raymond Cox; grandchildren: John Cox, Tommy Cox, Ronnie Cox, Bridget Maroon, Brian Baine, Joseph Baine, Heather Buckner-Cox; great grandchildren; Cameron Cox, Kendall Cox, Sadie Cox, Kalei Baine; sister Ramona Evelyn Cox-Jensen (Raymond) and brother in law Ross Kermer; stepbrother: Bruce Hoffman (Lori) and Richard Hoffman (Kimberly). In addition to these, he leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday April 12, 2018 at East Cleveland Baptist Church from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and on Friday April 13, 2018 from 10:00am until 11:00am. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00am at the church with Rev. Joe Lockman officiating.

Interment will follow the service at Cedar Springs Cemetery. You are invited to share a personal memory of Robert or your condolences with his family at his online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral and Cremation Service and the Cody family are honored assist the Cox family with these arrangements.
