Robert H. Hollenbeck, age 94, of Sheboygan Falls, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at his home. He was born in New Holstein on January 7, 1924 to the late Kingsley and Lucille (Lauson) Hollenbeck. He attended local schools and graduated from New Holstein High School in 1941.

On August 31, 1946 he was united in marriage to Helene Schnaitmann. They were married 61 years and Helene preceded him in death on March 4, 2008. Robert was employed at Media Graphics and retired as the Vice President and General Manager after 38 years.

He was a member at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Sheboygan while offering his time in various roles within the church. Robert also enjoyed volunteering within the community as a Meals on Wheels driver, Partners in Reading, along with being a blood donor for over 70 years, donating 33 gallons of blood. He also took pride in being a member of the Sherlock Holmes Club, attending Morningstar Bible Study, and being an ADRC driver.

Robert is survived by his children Mark (Judith) Hollenbeck and daughter Lori ( Jim) Christus; grandchildren, Trevor (Kristi), Brooke (friend George), Rion (Brian), Amber (Mike), Jason (friend Jessie), Amy (Will), Nicole (fiancé Stephen), Maria, Nathan (Stephanie) and Sarah (Matt); 11 great grandchildren with one due in June. He is also survived by Ken (Carol) Leannah and Shan Linden; three sisters-in-law, Patricia Hollenbeck, Geraldine Hollenbeck and NonaLee Schnaitmann. Other relatives and friends further survive.

Along with his wife, Helene, Robert was preceded in death by a son Kurt Hollenbeck; two brothers, Warren and Gerald Hollenbeck; sister Natalie Bauer; sisters-in-law, Jennie Schnaitmann, Dorothy Magras, Elsie Lieske; brother-in-law Walter Lieske and a son-in-law Lance Schuh. A Memorial Service for Robert will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 1:00 PM at St. Paul’s U.C.C., 2114 Wedemeyer St., Sheboygan, with Rev. Jeremy Hylen officiating.

Family will accept visitors, at the church, from 10:30 AM until the time of the service. Inurnment will take place at Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial are suggested to St. Paul’s U.C.C., The American Red Cross, or Meals on Wheels.

The family would like to personally thank Dr. Charles Schleevogt, the staff at Prairie Crossing, and the staff at St. Nicholas Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Robert. Robert will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. He either left you laughing or groaning at one of his many jokes.
