Robert Hart September 11, 1927 – January 15, 2019 Robert Charles Hart, age 91, died on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Oak Crest in DeKalb, Illinois, surrounded by family. He was born on September 11, 1927 in DeKalb, Illinois, the son of Charles and Elizabeth (Herrmann) Hart. He married Geraldine E. Dumoulin on March 19, 1955, she preceded him in death on November 4, 2004.

Bob has been an active member of the community though his 50+ years of farming in DeKalb county. Many know him best for his singing at the Oak Crest Boys, Farm Bureau events, holiday celebrations, concerts, as well as multiple weddings and funerals. He served our nation in the United States Army and was a board member for Malta schools.

He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Rochelle, Illinois, and sang in the choir for many years. For the past eight years, he has attended Christ the Teacher Parrish, Newman Center, in DeKalb, Illinois. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife: Geraldine Hart, brother: Eugene (Veronica) Hart, and sister: Mary (Paul) Nolan.

Bob was married for 49 years to Geraldine (Dumoulin) Hart. They had 5 children: Susan, Brian (Crissy), Rob (Diane), David (Stephanie), and Jon. They have 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral mass will be at 10 am on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the Newman Catholic Student Center, 512 Normal Rd, DeKalb, Illinois, with Father Matthew McMorrow officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 – 5 pm at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Catholic Church for Memorial Masses.

Burial will be at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Rochelle, Illinois, following funeral mass. Guest book at www. UngerHorner.com.
