Robert Howard Mercer, husband of Donna Joan Howard passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospital. He was born December 6, 1937 in Hardburley, Kentucky to the late Robert Markland Mercer and Pauline Howard Mercer. Robert served in the USMC and was a Liaison for the Central Intelligence Agency.

He was owner and operator of Boone & Mercer INC. as well as an Operating Engineer. He was member of the Newman Center and attended the St. Joseph Chapel.

Besides his wife… Read More » he is survived by his children, Robert Chadwick (Kelsey) Mercer, Georgetown, Stephen Ryan Mulligan, David Samuel Mercer and Joan Victoria Ann Mercer, all of Lexington. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jeanette Lewis. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 24th at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing with a gathering of family & friends to follow until 5PM.
