Robert J. Boyle Sr., 79, of Mount Joy, formerly of Goshen NY, passed away on December 19, 2018. He was the devoted husband of Lillian G. Niemann Boyle to whom he was married for 55 years. He will be missed by his children, Robert J. Boyle Jr., of Mount Joy, Tina Boyle of Elizabethtown and Patricia (Ed) Savoie of Rutland VT.

Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, and a brother William J. (Phyllis) Boyle of FL. Bob was a Veteran proudly serving eight years with the US Army. While living in Goshen, NY, he operated a truck and car wash.

In 2005, he and his wife, Lillian, moved to Lancaster County and worked for Darrenkamps Market in Mount Joy. He was a long standing member of the Cataract Engine and Hose Company of Goshen and a member of the American Legion, Post 185, Mount Joy. A funeral service honoring Bob’s life will be held at the Sheetz Funeral Home, Inc., 16 East Main Street, Mount Joy on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11 AM.

Interment with full military honors in the Henry Eberle Cemetery, Mount Joy. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 6 PM to 8 PM and again on Saturday before the service from 10 AM to 11 AM.
