Robert “Bob” J. Kline, 96, of Dayton, OH passed away on Monday, March 4th, 2019. Bob was born on November 7th, 1922 to Florence (Chambers) and Hiram Kline in Orange, New Jersey. He retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel where he was proud to have been a supervisor and guard.

While Bob was a Steubenville transplant, he loved the “Ville” as if he were born and raised there. He enjoyed many days sitting on the bench talking to his friends and planning their fishing trips. He loved hunting and fishing always talking about how the walleye were running at Lake Erie and he had no interest in catch and throw; he wanted the fish, caught, fillet, frozen, and fried.

Anyone that knew Bob knew that he loved his family, Mocha and the Cleveland Browns. His love for the Cleveland Browns never wavered even in a city full of Steelers fans. He never gave up on the Browns and let everyone that he had been since Jim Brown played and was so proud that they FINALLY had a winning season last year.

While in Steubenville Bob was a member of the Masonic Temple Eastern Light Lodge #64 and active member of Second Baptist Church. After relocating to Columbus, Ohio he became a member of New Antioch Bible Fellowship Church, in Reynoldsburgh, Ohio. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brother Herman, wife Margaret H. Kline, son Charles “Randall” Hooe.

Left to mourn his loss are his two children, Ronald Kline of Walnut, California and Rhonda Kline of Dayton, Ohio, his sister Madeline Kline of Mount Laurel, New Jersey, his grandchildren, Cydney and Cameron Pendergrass, special friend Evelyn Gilliam and many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 11, 2019, at New Antioch Bible Fellowship Church located at 1415 Lancaster Ave. , Reynoldsburgh, OH 43068 from 11 a.m. until Noon, The Life Celebration Services will immediately follow.

Interment will be Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at 1 p.m. at Union Cemetery, in Steubenville, OH. Services entrusted to the Vinson House of Mortuary, 711 North Fifth Street in Steubenville, OH.
