Robert’s Obituary Robert L. Thrap, 70, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019, at his home near Wiggins. He was born September 22, 1948, in Phoenix, AZ to Vernon and Jacqueline Thrap. In 1968 Robert joined the US Army and served in Viet Nam.

He was honorably discharged in 1971. Robert worked as a contractor and mechanic until ill issues due to agent orange exposure forced his medical retirement. He especially enjoyed watching NASCAR racing.

He enjoyed going to the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center until his health issues forced him to stop. Survivors include his two daughters, April Thrap and Destiny Thrap; 2 sisters, Dorothy Thrap and Sherry Thrap; 3 grandchildren, Tanner Riddle, Jeremiah Anders, and Harley Thrap – Alonso; 2 nephews, Charles Thrap Jr., and Tony Thrap. Also by 2 great nieces, Amanda and Sheila.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Charles Thrap and Lenny Thrap, 1 sister, Penny Thrap, and his parents. Graveside services and inurnment will be on Thursday, March 21, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver. Those attending are asked to gather at Staging Area “A” at the Cemetery.
